This unit was custom made by GM for display at truck shows. I purchased it March 2004 with only 51,000 miles. The owner’s manual says this Cat engine should go a minimum of 300,000 miles in commercial use before engine rebuild. Ask any semi truck driver how well Cat diesels last and you can probably expect 500,000+ miles, especially as this truck has never seen commercial use. 95% Highway travel.
If you have priced a crew cab diesel pickup lately you will find that they run $40,000 or more easily. Pull your horses, race cars, travel trailer or whatever you can think of, as this rig will barely know they are there. I occasionally Pulled 20’ – 8,000lb Trailer. Arrive rested and in style. Transports 6 people easily. We do coast to coast to Daytona – non-stop, 3 people, 70-75mph. Have owned since 2004. 50,000 trouble free miles. Highway only.
